Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal data the ReproTrack website collects, why, how long it is kept, and what you can demand at any time. It is written to be read — no fine print, no hedging.

1. Data controller

The controller for personal data collected on this site is Naudy Castellanos, Viseu, Portugal.

Contact for anything concerning personal data, including exercising your rights: info@reprotrack.com.

2. What data is collected

There are only two situations in which this site collects personal data: when you sign up for the pilot programme and, if you allow it, when site usage is measured.

Signing up for the pilot programme stores:

  • the email address you type — the only item that identifies you directly;
  • the herd size you give, when you give it;
  • the two-letter code of the country you are visiting from, taken from the network and never from a stored IP address;
  • the language of the page you signed up on;
  • the date and time of the entry.

3. Purposes and legal basis

The email address and herd size are used to contact you about the pilot programme and to size the trial phases. The basis is your consent, given when you submit the form — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

The country and language are used to understand where interest in the project comes from and which language to reply in. The basis is that same consent.

Usage data collected by analytics is used to understand which parts of the site help and which confuse. The basis here too is your consent, and without it nothing is collected.

4. How long it is kept

Pilot sign-up data is kept until the pilot programme ends or until you ask for it to be erased, whichever comes first. After 24 months with no contact, the entry is reviewed and deleted if there is no longer a reason to keep it.

Data collected by analytics follows the retention period of that service, described in the next section.

Asking for erasure is always faster than waiting for any deadline: one email is enough.

5. Analytics and consent

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how it is used — which sections are read, where people click, where they give up.

Clarity loads only after you press “Accept” on the notice shown on your first visit. Until you decide, or if you choose “Reject”, not a single request is made to Clarity’s servers: the script is never even downloaded. This is not a preference that switches off collection already under way — collection never starts.

Your decision is stored in the browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device. To change it, clear the site’s data in your browser.

6. Processors

Data is not sold, rented or handed to third parties for commercial purposes. Only two providers are involved, each in its own role:

  • Cloudflare — hosting for the site and for the database holding pilot sign-ups;
  • Microsoft — the Clarity service, only if you have consented to analytics.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Both providers run global infrastructure, so data may be processed outside the European Economic Area.

Those transfers are covered by the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR — standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and, where applicable, adequacy decisions — under each provider’s data processing agreement.

8. Your rights under the GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights you can exercise at any time, without justifying the request and at no cost:

  • Access — find out what data about you exists and get a copy.
  • Rectification — correct anything wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure — ask for it to be deleted, the so-called right to be forgotten.
  • Restriction — ask for processing to stop while the data is kept.
  • Portability — receive it in a structured, commonly used format, or have it sent to another controller.
  • Objection — object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

9. How to exercise these rights

Write to info@reprotrack.com saying what you need. A reply follows within one month of receipt, extendable by two months for complex requests — if that happens, you will be told within the first month.

You may be asked for additional information to confirm your identity before the request is acted on, precisely so your data is not handed to someone who is not you.

10. Security

The connection to the site is encrypted end to end, and access to the database holding sign-ups is limited to what running the service strictly requires.

No technical measure removes risk entirely. What is collected here is deliberately little — an email address and a number — precisely so that a breach would reach as little as possible.

11. Children

This site is aimed at livestock professionals and is not intended for anyone under 16.

If you become aware that a child’s data has been collected without the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility, write to info@reprotrack.com and the data will be deleted.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated whenever the site changes how it handles data. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.

If a change is substantial and the processing rests on your consent, fresh consent will be sought.

13. Complaints

If you believe your data is not being handled as it should be, you may complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority — the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt — or to the authority of the Member State where you live or work, under Article 77 GDPR.

Before that, writing to info@reprotrack.com is usually faster, and most questions are settled there.
